Jesús De La Rosa - Roy Alum 2006

After my graduate exhibition at OSU, having my work selected for an exhibition at Roy G. Biv Gallery felt like a true rite of passage. My artwork was displayed in a Short North gallery, where people walking and driving by could easily see it. I brought friends, told everyone to come see the show, sent photos and the gallery postcard to my mom, and, for a moment, felt like a superstar, especially after the exhibition nearly sold out. It is a memory I often return to on difficult days. Thank you for the many opportunities this space has afforded me over the years, as well as to many artists in Ohio and beyond.
