ROY G BIV has been a cornerstone of Columbus's art scene since 1989, cultivating emerging artists, offering a platform for creativity, experimentation, and connection, and presenting thought-provoking exhibitions free to the public that challenge and inspire.

ROY G BIV is supported 100% by philanthropy. Every year is a new challenge, and for the past 36 years our Columbus Community and ROY’s dedicated board, volunteers and donors somehow keep the vision alive.

The “Friends of Emerging Artists” is now a way to provide greater stability and focus to this idea that is ROY G BIV. By allowing ROY’s friends and strongest patrons to declare both their current and future support, the Gallery can move more of its attention toward future emerging artists and perhaps a little less time raising support to pay the rent.

To ensure we continue to nurture the next generation of artists, we’re launching ROY G BIV Friends of Emerging Artists. By pledging $1,000 or more today and for the next few years, we are helping secure the sustainability of our shared mission and declaring that we want to encourage more emerging artists and we want to sustain a vibrant arts culture in our community.

This initiative is essential for ROYs continued operations and growth. The Gallery has flourished with broad community support since its founding, but today steady and consistent funding is more essential than ever before. The Gallery is now working to generate the equivalent of $5,000 per exhibiting artist to hit our annual operating budget of $150,000 per year.

The “Friends of Emerging Artists” is more than just a fundraising initiative; it is an opportunity for ROY’s friends to declare their commitment to this idea that is ROY G BIV Gallery. An opportunity to join with others in sustaining the cultural fabric of our community…

Who is ROY?

When we join the giving circle and make an annual pledge of $1,000 (or more) we become Friends of Emerging Artists, and we clearly demonstrate to others that WE are ROY.
