ROY G BIV Gallery for Emerging Artists is looking for submissions for ImageOHIO 19, a juried exhibition of the best photographic, video and new media art. The selected artists’ work will be exhibited from January 22 – February 22, 2019, at the Fort Hayes Shot Tower Gallery (546 Jack Gibbs Blvd., Columbus, OH, 43215)


Jennifer Lange joined the Wexner Center for the Arts in 2001 and is Curator of the Film/Video Studio, an artist-in-residence program which offers in-kind post-production support to filmmakers and video artists. The program hosts approximately 25 residencies each year with artists coming from around the world to work on projects ranging from documentaries to gallery-based installations to experimental videos. Through the residency program, she has worked with hundreds of artists, including Deborah Stratman, Rineke Dijkstra, Phil Collins, Jennifer Reeder, Pilar Mata Dupont, Jonathas de Andrade, Sam Green, and Josiah McElheny. In addition to leading the Film/Video Studio, Lange curates The Box, the Wexner’s dedicated video exhibition space, which rotates monthly, and has shown works by such artists as Kevin Jerome Everson, Bouchra Khalili, Bruce McCLure, Pablo Lobato, Lucia Koch, and Jiwon Choi, among many others. 


1) Complete the submission form below and submit $20 entry fee through PayPal. (Entry fee is waived for ROY G BIV members.)

2) Email up to 5 images/videos, along with an artist statement, résumé and list of works to Include the subject “ImageOHIO 2019”.



  • File names: Use only a number (e.g., 01.jpg). Please do not embed your name in any images.

  • File format: JPEG or PNG

  • File size: No larger than 1.5 MB per photo

  • Detail and installation photos may be included with the 5 images.


  • For video submissions, upload your videos to YouTube or Vimeo and submit their URLs in your List of Works.

  • It is not necessary to remove your name from your account or videos.

  • Please make videos open to the public. Private videos will not be reviewed.

  • The first two minutes of each video will be reviewed.


  • File names: Please include your name on your Resume but leave your List of Works and Artist's Statement anonymous.

  • File formats: PDF or DOC

  • List of Works should include the following for each work:

  1. File name (e.g.,01.jpg) or video URL (e.g.,…)

  2. Title

  3. Year of completion

  4. Medium(s)

  5. Dimensions



ImageOHIO 19 is open to photography, video and new media artwork. Due to the exhibition’s location in a public school, artwork that contains explicit nudity or references to violence will not be considered.  

Artist is responsible for transportation of all artwork to and from the Shot Tower Gallery. If work must be shipped, artist is responsible for packaging and shipping expenses. Artist is responsible for specialty installation supplies, two-dimensional work must be ready to hang and provided with appropriate hanging hardware. Projectors and monitors are available on a first come basis, and are available in limited quantities. Artist may need to provide their own projector or monitor, as they are available on a very limited basis.


Acceptance Notification: Mid December

Work Drop-off: January 7-8, 8am-3pm

Opening Reception: January 25, 7-9pm

Closing/Artist Panel: February 22, 1pm
