ROY G BIV Gallery presents the third in a series of four exhibitions highlighting the past, present and future of ROY. This exhibition showcases artists who have exhibited in the gallery previously, as well as some who have previously applied to exhibit. This group of artists will present a variety of textile, sculptural and ceramic work showcasing a range of practices and areas of concentration.

 

Exhibition Dates: April 7-28 at 997 N High St. Hours: 1– 6 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.

 

 

Theresa Touma received her Bachelor of Fine Art from the Columbus College of Art and Design. She has exhibited at Skylab Gallery, Sean Christopher Gallery and No Place Gallery in Columbus, OH as well as the Zanesville Museum of Art. She currently lives and works in Columbus, OH.

 

 

Cat Mailloux received her Bachelor of Fine Art in Sculpture at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and is expected to complete her Master of Fine Art in Sculpture at The Ohio State University in Spring 2018. She has exhibited at the Hopkins Hall Gallery in Columbus, OH, Clay Street Press in Cincinnati, OH, Heyde Center for the Arts in Chippewa Falls, WI, and Urban Arts Space in Columbus, OH.

 

 

Anita Maharjan received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas in Denton, TX. She is currently an MFA candidate at The Columbus College of Art and Design, where she is expected to graduate in the Spring of 2018. Maharjan has exhibited work at Wild Goose Creative, Sean Christopher Gallery, and the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition in Columbus, OH.

 

 

Forrest Sincoff Gard is an artist, associate editor for Ceramics Monthly and Pottery Making Illustrated, and one of the co-founders and member of the Socially Engaged Craft Collective. He received his BFA in Ceramics at Ohio University in Athens, OH and his MFA in Ceramics from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. Gard has recently exhibited at The American Museum of Ceramic Art AMOCA in Pomona, CA, c3: Initiative Gallery in Portland, OR, and Western Colorado Center for the Arts in Grand Junction, CO.

 

 

Jeni Hansen Gard received her MFA from The Ohio State University, MA in Art Education from the University of Florida, and BA in Art Education from Hope College. She is a founding member of the Socially Engaged Craft Collective, a craft and social practice organization. She is using craft as an avenue to pursue her research interest in ethnobotany (the human plant relationship) and exploring the ceramic vessel as a form of social art practice.

 

 

Nick Fagan received an MFA in Sculpture + Extended Media from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH and a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Fagan has recently exhibited at ADA Gallery in Richmond, VA, YARDS projects, Cleveland, OH and The Carnegie in Cincinnati, OH. He has also completed residencies at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT, the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Madison, ME and the Anderson Gallery Residency in Richmond, VA.
